Image
History was made as India registered their first ever win over South Africa in a World Cup match.Defeating the Proteas by 130 runs and thus breaking the jinx of undefeated South Africans.Judging by India's current form, it now looks certain that India will top the pool B and face the fourth-placed team from the other group in the quarter final. South Africa dominated the proceedings pretty well by sending Rohit Sharma back to pavilion without scoring but unfortunately couldn't keep up the same momentum throughout the match.Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli, took time to settle down and built the perfect base for the team before they began to rise up and accelerate their innings. It took them 14 overs to reach four an over for the first time. Dhawan did at his half century and got out for 46. By the time Kohli departed stage for a massive score was set. In came Ajinkya Rahane who played superbly and scored 79 off 60 which helped Dhawan play his usual game. His quickf

Image
It was utter mayhem as West Indies ran riot over Pakistan to defeat them by 150 runs at Christchurch cricket ground . While Pakistan were beaten comprehensively by neighbors India,West Indies had to deal with a shock loss to minnows Ireland .No amount of lip service had been able to justify their defeats but both teams had since devoted themselves to training harder and longer. The two teams were hardly alien to each other and attempted to draw their plans from past duels. The Windies did have a better head-to-head record but then again, the current group of players were only pale shadows of legends who helped the side dominate in the past. Of the 126 ODIs between the two teams, West Indies had won 68 as against 55 won by Pakistan with three tied games. Even in World Cups, the team from the Caribbeans had a 6-3 record.Past stats do not guarantee wins and on paper, the current Pak
